Danilo Sauerbrunn Portugal

Mr. Portugal is one of the most genuine person I have met. I have had the privilege to see him first hand train athletes as well as the general population. He is well rounded in nutrition, personal training, and combat sports. Therefore, with his knowledge he takes pride in helping others.

Nutrition

Danilo’s background in nutrition, both from college and from his NSCA Certification, allows him to help both athletes and the general population. People get stronger and healthier as they lose weight over both short and long term training periods. Proper nourishment of the body, balance and life style change. “Not in starving my clients, it is important to know how to eat properly. As well as, how and when to reward ourselves for all of our hard work. Learning to eat properly while enjoying the ride, and the taste of what you are eating is the key to a healthy, consistent nutrition!” Portugal

Danilo has been a personal trainer for about 8 years and has been in martial arts since he was 4 years old, starting with karate and capoeira. Therefore, allowing him to be a fighter at they age of 18. Starting his journey with Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, then boxing, and finally MMA.

With COVID19 he is on specific schedule, when to get up, when to go to bed, what days to rest from training. In addition, he has added meditation, exercising with a specific program on a week to week basis, about 2+ hours at a time. This is very important, in order to maintain a steady routine.

He has been motivated to make videos. In order to both help as many people as he possibly can, and to be able to grow his business, a coach, and as an athlete. “Anyone who is passionate about helping others, with their knowledge and about coaching can be a part of it for sure.” Portugal

Many businesses and athletes have been affected by the stay at home order and social distancing. Making many wonder what the future of combat sports will be. Will the fighters continue their path or retire?

In conclusion, as a fighter, trainer, and coach, this has made Danilo want to fight again. It has made him appreciate a lot of the things that someday he may not be able to do it anymore.
